Farmers Market, at the Ferry Building
Our favorite thing to do on nice days is get a round-trip ferry ticket to Angel Island, buy a beer on the boat, and sun on the upper deck until the ferry gets back to SF.

- Opening in 1898, The Marketplace provides a distinctive space for bringing together the greater Bay Area's agricultural wealth and renowned specialty food purveyors under one roof.
- The Ferry Building is very popular, and I recommend it to anyone who is visiting San Francisco. They've got great restaurants (Slanted Door, MarketBar) and a morning farmer's market a few times a week
- Grab a Blue Bottle coffee, some Cowgirl cheese, Boccalone meats, Acme bread, and sweets from Miette. The Saturday farmers’ market is stellar. - Green Guide Editor
