- Boston Common is decorated annually for Christmas, with a tree donated by Nova Scotia, in thanks for Boston's help after the 1917 Halifax explosion. It's a great place to enjoy the holiday season.
- The Common was used for public hangings up until 1817. In early 1965, 100 people gathered here to protest the Vietnam War, & speeches have been given here by Martin Luther King Jr & Pope John Paul III
- Look around. This is called a park, and it’s filled with fresh air. Welcome to the great outdoors. Stay for awhile. #DontBlowIt
